All students will receive instruction appropriate to meet their individual needs in an atmosphere that is supportive and conducive to innovative programming. Students will be given every opportunity to achieve at their highest potential.

The vision at Ella Flagg Young school is to provide students with every opportunity to achieve their highest potential in every curricular area. Our vision encompasses students, parents, teachers, administrators and community members.

We believe that all children can learn but not necessarily on the same day or in the same way. We believe in the old African proverb, “It takes a whole village to raise a child”.

Ella Flagg Young School is a place where students, parents and teachers are committed to the educational process. It is a place where “We’re excited about teaching and learning!" Young School is a place where the “seeds” of knowledge are planted and dreams start to grow. We believe that all “Dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”

We are confident that Ella Flagg Young School students will be the “trailblazers” in the 21 st century. Doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers, airline pilots and entrepreneurs all call Ella Flagg Young School their home. The students, teachers, and staff are all dedicated to influencing the world economy “one-child-at-a-time”.

I love my job and I am honored to serve the Austin community. The parents and guardians of the Ella Flagg Young School community send their most “prized possessions” to us, their children.
